During his time as a Financial Controller at Renaissance Films in London, Howard successfully managed the entire finance function of the company, including coordinating with production accountants on set and location. He also played a key role in managing the final film audit with Deloitte & Touche. Notable films produced during his tenure include "The Luzhin Defence" starring Emily Watson & John Turturro, and "Disco Pigs" featuring Cillian Murphy. Proven record of success in the film industry, instrumental in the pre-development of "Confessions of a Dangerous Mind," which was subsequently sold to Miramax for production. Additionally, played a key role in the financial management of "The Reckoning" starring Paul Bettany and Willem Dafoe, as well as "Safety of Objects" featuring Dermot Mulroney.
As a Production Accountant for Stingers Series 6 & 7 in Melbourne, Australia, working in collaboration with Channel Nine & Le Mesurier Simpson Co-Production, he oversaw pre-production setup and diligently managed weekly cost reports, crew payroll, and various financial aspects related to the Art Department, purchase orders, payables, tax, and compliance, utilizing Eclipse Software.
His passion for film production didn’t stop there, he tenure as a Production Accountant for the Prisoner Zero Animation Series with Big Finish Productions – UK based (Produced in Australia), Howard contributed to the successful production of the series by handling weekly cost reports, crew payroll, accounts payable, tax, and compliance matters, as well as effectively managing cashflow and funding. Additionally, he collaborated with Money Penny on the PDV Offset application and efficiently utilized XERO accounting software.
